Just Dance Academy in Hermanus is bursting with pride after some of its students were part of a historic event during which a world record for the biggest Amapiano dance-off at a rugby match was set. Fourteen promising dancers of Just Dance Academy formed part of the group of 300 people, including content creators and members of the public, who took to the rugby field in Cape Town to set the world record for the largest crowd performing this dance. In preparation for the event, they had to learn the steps to the dance that has taken the world by storm and also took part in a number of workshops. Their hard work paid off when they performed with the huge crowd in front of thousands of spectators attending the Cape Town Sevens rugby tournament on 8 December. JDA Director and teacher, Nadine Venter, said she is extremely proud of this group of students who also participated in an international dance championship held in Croatia last year..
