Hermanus Times is the oldest newspaper in the region and the heartbeat of the Overberg. Since its first edition in 1949 the then-named Hermanus News has grown with local residents and made its mark as a trusted source in the local, social, economic and political fields.
With more than 500 distribution points in the circulation area, this free weekly newspaper is available in Hermanus, Kleinmond, Betty’s Bay, Pringle Bay, Grabouw, Villiersdorp, Bot River, Greyton, Myddleton, Tesselaarsdal, Riviersonderend, Caledon, Napier, Bredasdorp, Elim, Gansbaai, Pearly Beach and Stanford. The bilingual readership consists of people from all races and age groups, and serves the LSM market from 1 to 10.

- General Manager: Aletta Ellis – With over 21 years of experience in the community newspaper industry, Alet currently serves as a General Manager for the Western Cape community newspapers, leading a dedicated team to provide trusted local news and connect with the community. Passionate about both the impact of local journalism and the team that drives it, Alet is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment while helping to shape the future of the community they serve.
- Publisher: Justin Cupido – With nearly 20 years of experience in the media he is skilled in sales, marketing and corporate communication.
- Editor: Mariette Strydom brings her more than 20 year’s expertise in journalism and editing to the team. She has a passion for community journalism and believes in building relationships with the readers and advertisers.
