Cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann will present a captivating programme.

The internationally acclaimed Karlsruhe Concert Duo will return to Hermanus for a special performance at the Civic Auditorium on Sunday 9 November at 15:30 as part of their concert tour through Mauritius and SA.

Cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann will present a captivating programme spanning classical and modern repertoire, featuring works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Kapustin, and Brahms. The duo’s performance will include “Beethoven’s Sonata in G minor, Op 5, No 2”, and “Brahms’ Sonata in F major, Op 99”, among other notable pieces.

Founded in 1999, the Karlsruhe Concert Duo has achieved international recognition through numerous competition victories in Italy and France, including the Lorenzo Perosi Competition and Concours Pierre Lantier. Their extensive touring schedule has taken them to 100 countries across all continents, with appearances at prestigious festivals such as Verbier Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the Johannesburg International Mozart Festival. Critics have praised their concerts as “a sound and music experience that touches the soul”, celebrating their deep interpretive insight and brilliant technique. Both musicians are also dedicated educators at the Karlsruhe Conservatory.
