Every Monday Issah and Ruwaydah Watson of Corhas (Caledon Overberg Rise Against Hunger Scheme) feed the less privileged members of the local community. (“Watsons reach out”, Hermanus Times, 22 February 2023).
In addition to the weekly feeding scheme, Corhas has for the past three years also hosted a Christmas lunch for the community on Christmas day.
A scrumptious meal of chicken and salads was served to 250 people in the Victoria Hall on Christmas Day. Goodie bags, fruit and snacks were also handed out.
