Each year for nearly 20 years André van Eyssen’s home and garden at 7 Piet Retief Street in Sandbaai has been lit up with a colourful display of Christmas lights and decorations. Every year hundreds of visitors are captivated by his festive display, which includes metres of colourful, twinkling lights, brightly-lit, moving reindeer, a collection of sleighs and a carriage. Van Eyssen said this year there would also be a special section featuring approximately 51 singing and dancing Santa figurines displayed in his garage. The lights will be switched on for the first time this season on Tuesday 10 December at 20:00, and every night afterwards from 20:00 to 22:00 until early January.
