Pick n Pay Hermanus Customer Service Manager Candice Martin handed 30 emergency relief packs to Michelle Botha and Mzi Damesi of the Overstrand Whale Boxing Club on Friday.
“The Ackerman Foundation, headed by Suzanne Ackerman-Berman, donated R15 000 which was used to purchase non-perishable goods such as rice, lentils, peanut butter, sugar, cordial, maize meal, porridge and tinned goods,” Martin said. “The relief packs will be handed to the boxing club, which will identify needy families in the community it serves.
“We hope this will help people to provide for their families at this time of need, while also enabling them to remain at home and adhere to lockdown regulations.”
