There has
been a noticeable decline in active Covid-19 cases across the Overberg.

Roche Butler,
spokesperson for the Overberg Health Department says that residents of the
Overberg still need to follow
the necessary protocols and in turn protecting themselves and their loved ones. As of Monday 14
September the Overberg recorded a total of 3 556 confirmed cases which 100
of these cases are active.

Butler says 93% of the total
infections have recovered and 2,6% of the infections have succumb to Covid-19.

“With lockdown
restrictions being relaxed we urge the public to continue practicing safety
measures such as wearing a mask and keeping your distance when leaving
your homes and this includes social gatherings.”

Currently Stanford situated in the Overstrand Municipality
