A joint operation among various law enforcement agencies netted three suspects and a large amount of drugs in Mount Pleasant last week.
This was accomplished by members of the police’s Overberg Task Team, Overberg Flying Squad and K9 Unit and Overstrand municipality’s K9 Unit, Task Team and Flying Squad after executing search warrants in Dahlia Street, Mount Pleasant on Thursday 12 May.
Captain Fadila September of the Hermanus Police reported: “The officials arrested three suspects for possession of and dealing in drugs.
“They confiscated 323 Mandrax tablets, 192 small bags of dagga, 12 small bags of cocaine and Mandrax powder.
Overstrand Deputy Mayor Lindile Ntsabo confirmed two houses in Gansbaai were also searched.
“The successes include the arrest of 14 suspects wanted in connection with various offences in the Gansbaai area,” he said.
