Hermanus has it all. The beaches, the mountains, the wonderful people, and food and drink that is world-renowned. Added to this is the town’s dedicated police and law enforcement agencies, which makes it the perfect destination for the December holiday.
Marius Boshoff, Hermanus branch manager for Fidelity ADT, said: “People love coming to Hermanus in December to relax and unwind after a long year. They know the town offers everything they could wish for and is where they can feel safe as they relax in one of the province’s most gorgeous areas.
“Thank you to everyone who worked to make our visitors feel welcome and appreciated,” Boshoff said. “The town’s success is a team effort. I also want to thank the Hermanus Public Protection (HPP) team which was hard at work again to keep people safe and clamp down on crime.”
HPP responded to several incidents during December, which saw at least six suspects being handed over into police custody on charges ranging from the possession of stolen property, being in possession of a dangerous weapon, as well as being in the possession of illegal substances.
Boshoff said it is important to maintain this good momentum when it comes to safety and personal security.
“HPP along with all the other law enforcement and public-safety role-players are on duty 24/7 to keep you safe. We need residents and business owners to work with us by paying attention to good personal safety habits and being alert to suspicious behaviour. If anything looks out of place, please raise the alarm immediate. Vigilance is key.”
Hermanus Public Protection is a non-profit company, established to provide public safety and top-up cleansing services in a geographically-designated area of Hermanus. It is supported by Fidelity ADT.
