The route starts with a short and sharp Prologue on the trails of Meerendal Wine Estate, before heading south-east to Hermanus, where the seaside town hosts the race for two stages. From Hermanus, the first transition stage of 2023 pits teams against a traverse inland to Oak Valley Estate where a mid-week time trial awaits on the trails of Oak Valley and Paul Cluver. For more information visit www.epic-series.com..Grabouw Weekend Warrior (15-16 April): To take full advantage of the peak apple season so many of the orchards in the apple valley will still be laden with fruit while the mountain bikers explore the area, the Grabouw Weekend Warrior fundraising event, grown by Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing, will be on 15 and 16 April this year. As last year, this family-centred event which also invites people to camp in supplied three-man tents, raised funds for Grabouw High School, a beneficiary of many years of Tru-Cape’s events in the area.
