The Theewaterskloof Council approved the implementation of Executive Mayor Karel Papier’s Pro-Poor Initiative that will be used to write-off the municipal debt of people with a property value below R200 000 or a combined household income below R20 000.
The initiative will run only from 1 June to 31 July. Applicants must first pay their current account on application for the write-off initiative.
Applicants must provide the following documentation with the application for the combined household: Municipal Account, ID Document, salary advice if employed or affidavit stating that he/she is unemployed.
