River Mount Hope, a registered non-profit company, held a special Christmas Party on 17 December for the children of Hawston.
According to one of the organisers the children were so excited they started queuing from 0:700 even though the event only started at 12:00.
“Just over 500 people gave their hearts to Jesus,” they said. “Everyone who attended was blessed with lunch, and the children received Christmas cookies, candy canes, party packs and gifts while the adults were entered into a draw.
“Some won manicure and pedicure vouchers, meat vouchers, barber vouchers, hair salon vouchers, car wash vouchers and Spur vouchers. We prayed for the sick, restoration in families, provision and for strongholds to be broken.
“We thank the Lord for working through our Pastors Percy, Gershom and Michelle Saayman and the rest of the River Mount Hope Team that made this Christmas event successful.
“Thank you to Mount Hope Church, Jesus our Saviour Ministries and ward councillor Arnie Africa for all their help. Thank you to our gift voucher sponsors: Sorbet Hermanus, Onrus Butchery, Spur Whale Coast, Old Hat Barber, Style Bar Hair Salon and The Car Wash at the Whale Coast Mall.
“And thank you everyone who made a contribution in any way. May the Lord richly bless them for the seed they have sown in the Kingdom.”
