Pandemonium reigned in the fishing village of Hawston, outside Hermanus, on Sunday (11 May) after a shooting spree left two males, aged 24 and 35, dead and another wounded.
According to Sgt Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police media liaison officer, the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident on Sunday in Linford Street, Hawston, where Uwellin “Pork” Salies and Vittorio Julies were fatally shot and another male wounded are under investigation. “Police members attended to the crime scene where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies.”
Sallies and Julies were declared dead on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victim was taken to a medical facility. According to reports the victims were standing on the pavement when a white BMW passed them by, then stopped before its occupants jumped out and opened fire on them.
