Women’s soccer teams from across the Overberg are hard at work preparing for the Diski Queens Knock-out soccer tournament to be held in February.
Archie Jukuja, Siyadlala Football Club’s coach, appeals to businesses or members of the community to assist his senior and under-13 teams with donations that will enable them to attend this exciting tournament that will be held on 25 February in Botrivier.
“Each team needs to pay a R400 entry fee. We also need assistance with transport to and from the event and food for the teams,” he stated.
The club from Zwelihle needs to pay the entry fee by the end of January when entries close. The winners will receive R2 500, the runners-up R1 000 and the team that ends in third place will win R500.
Siyadlala also urgently needs soccer balls and a training kit. Anyone who can assist them can contact Coach Archie on 073 372 4672.
