The matric final exams are in full swing and people from all over the Overberg have sent messages of support to those sitting for them. . I want to congratulate you for making it this far. A lot of young people have dropped out along the way, but you have managed to reach the finish line, and for that we are proud.

You are about to write the first of many important exams in your life, so go and do your best. Bear in mind you are not doing it just for yourself but your family, school and the rest of the Cape Agulhas region. I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you to send applications to many institutions of higher learning so you don’t get frustrated early next year when the results are released. While you’re about it, also apply for funding at NSFAS or the private sector.
