Wortelgat Outreach Trust’s vision to create world-class camping experiences on the banks of the Klein River Lagoon is steadily being realised. The opening of its indoor activity hall is another step in the expansion of the project. A generous benefactor made the establishment of the hall possible. With the capacity to accommodate 250 people, it will cater for indoor activities for campers and will also be available for day visitors for conferences, seminars, training, workshops and multi-purpose events. The Zolani Youth Choir performed at the opening. Here are Graig Niemand (reservist firefighter, Stanford Sub-Fire Station), Owen Henderson (General Manager, Wortelgat Outreach Trust), Angelo Aplon (assistant chief fire officer operational and training) and Mitch Africa (extension officer, Greater Overberg Fire Protection Association).
