Daphne Neethling of PaardenKloof Wines and Ecology Lifestyle Farm recently won two prestigious awards.
On 7 October she received the Recognition Award for Agriculture and Agro-processing 2022 from the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD).
Minister of Agriculture Thoko Didiza instituted these awards to honour the contribution women are making to agriculture and agro-processing.
A symposium for women in this sector focusing on the Africa Free Trade Agreement and market access, was held in Johannesburg on 7 October.
The minister delivered the keynote address, followed by a gala dinner and the awards ceremony.
On 13 October PaardenKloof Estate received the Best of Wine Tourism Ambassador Award for Diversity 2023 at the Regional Great Wine Capitals Global Network (GWC) Best of Wine Tourism Awards ceremony.
PaardenKloof wines can be enjoyed in the tasting room at the Ecology Lifestyle farm, situated just outside Bot River, and at the Botrivier Hotel.
