Residents of the greater Gansbaai area can expect to have no electricity from 08:00-18:00 on Wednesday 20 November as a power outage is planned.
Overstrand Municipal Manager Dean O’Neill explained that the power outage is scheduled in order for Eskom to carry out work on the Birkenhead substation.The following areas will be affected: De Kelders, Perlemoenbaai, Gansbaai, Industrial area, Blompark, Masakhane, Kleinbaai, Birkenhead, Franskraal, Uilkraalsmond, Pearly Beach and surrounding farms.
“The local high school, Gansbaai Academia, has confirmed that no matriculants will be writing exams on that day,” said O’Neill.
