Santa Shoebox are donating boxes for the children in Hermanus and Kleinmond who are in need of a few items for school and themselves.
“Pledging opened on 1 September and we ask the community to open their hearts for this good cause,” said Gerda Swanepoel of the Happiness Hero organisation. People interested in donating can visit the Santa Shoebox page at www.santashoebox.org.za.
“It is an easy way to put a smile on a child’s face. Pick a child and donate a box. Fill it with these eight items and more if you like: toothbrush, soap, washcloth, sweets, stationery, an educational item, a toy and a set of clothes. Decorate your box and drop it off at the drop-off venue at Hermanus Primary School on 25 and 26 October.”
