Boland Rugby (Pty) Ltd is excited to announce the conclusion of a new sponsorship agreement with Rainbow Chicken Ltd from June.

“Including Rainbow in the Boland Rugby family signifies another strong, proudly South African brand joining hands with Boland Rugby to grow and develop rugby in the Boland region,” said the spokesperson for Boland Rugby.

“We are incredibly thrilled to welcome Rainbow into the Sanlam Boland Rugby family,” said Quintin van Rooyen, CEO of Boland Rugby. “This partnership symbolises another significant step in the right direction for Boland Rugby. It aligns with the vision to take the Sanlam Boland Cavaliers back to being one of the top competing teams in the country. We are excited about the future and the opportunities this partnership will bring.”

Bennie van Rooy, president of Boland Rugby, added that the inclusion of Rainbow showcases the strength and potential within Boland Rugby and that the partnership will bring value across all levels within the Boland Rugby landscape. Rainbow’s sponsorship will support various initiatives both on the professional side, with the Sanlam Boland Cavaliers, and all the activities at the club and school level within the union.

CEO of Rainbow, Marthinus Stander, expressed that this sponsorship exemplifies the brand’s dedication to nurturing rugby at the grassroots level, making the game more accessible and fostering a robust community spirit.

He said: “With its rich heritage and widespread popularity, rugby serves as a unifying force in our communities. Our involvement is a testament to our belief in the transformative power of sports. By making the game more accessible and fostering a deeper connection with our audience, we demonstrate that we are truly ‘More Than Just Chicken’.”
