The exciting new development on the South African music scene, Mzansi Tenors, will perform a concert at the Dutch Reformed church in Hermanus on Sunday 2 October at 15:00.
Mzansi Tenors are 10 young singers (including local singing sensation Luvo Maranti) from UCT who came together during Covid to find ways of making music together and pay for their studies.
Rand Merchant Bank and Richard Cock have joined forces with them and they have since appeared together at several high-profile events.
The programme will include famous opera arias and choruses by Puccini, Verdi and Donizetti, popular songs by Frank Sinatra, the Beatles and Leonard Cohen, special arrangements of South African favourites, and a song specially composed for and with them about young men doing good.
The tenors will be accompanied by pianist Sally Riedel.
Tickets (R150 and R180) are available from Webtickets.co.za, at the FynArts Gallery or from Chantel on 060 957 5371.
