– The victim reportedly suffered a sprained nose, swollen eyes and bruises to her face.

The assault, said her father, reminded him of a similar incident in December last year when the accused allegedly also assaulted his daughter while they were in the car. “He visited me afterwards and promised me he would never hurt her again,” he stated. “This is totally unacceptable. Women can aggravate men, but it gives the men no right to hurt them.”

The case was postponed to 20 November.
