The Wine2Whales (W2W) is more about the journey than the destination. This prestigious event will take place from 28 October to 6 November and will end in Hermanus. The 2022 route is a rejuvenation of the old favourite, though mostly in direction, taking in 208 km from Lourensford to Hermanus, via Oak Valley, with 4 400 m of climbing along the way. The route is complete with several berms and bridges, a portage up the historic Gantouw Pass, more single tracks than one would be able to keep track of, and three Toyota Cruise sections.Photo: Rick Marais
