The second Welcome Whales celebration started on Friday morning when hundreds of residents gathered at Gearing’s Point to welcome these popular guests with a special wave. The Whale Crier, Bulelani Ngidi (22), welcomed the whale with his kelp horn adding to the a festive atmosphere at Gearing’s Point.
